Drivers window quit working

Driver side window quit working, sounds like gravel when trying to roll the window up or down.
Got it about half way and that is all.
Any and all help/suggestions appreciated! Thanks in advance

Based on the sounds it's making and that it will only go up half way, I'd say you probably need to replace the window regulator. I recently had to replace mine. The part by itself was over $800.

This is a common problem with these cars. The metal cable has probably freyed and is getting stuck in the cable liner. They make a cable rebuild kit but I've never used one .When my car started to do that I just found a working regulator from someone parting out a c6. I got it for 200 bucks. Way cheaper than a new one.

I had Chev. dealership excellent service & work replace regulator. I thought maybe it was the tint crinkling up but the window actually stop halfway and would not go up or down. Cost was $500+

. I would have to check receipt for exact cost and what if anything else was replaced.

Contact C&S corvette (Sarasota Florida) they have a lot of used parts. Cost ?? They have online shopping and shipping is free (which of course means part of the price)
