We will see what others say but I am going to say yes. I have not done the Corvette but its just because it has never gotten that dirty to need to spray it down. I spray down both of my dailys twice a year. Spring to clean off winter salt and late fall to remove summer road dust. I just stay clear of drenching the fuse box and the alternator. I have not used Gunk in many years since the engines are never extremely dirty or greasy.
Gunk is a good product and it works but it has a very strong smell that lasts a LONG time. It also leaves a kind of oily residue on surfaces that you'll have to wipe off if it gets where you don't want it. When your engine warms up, you'll really get a strong smell. I've been using Simple Green on my engines for quite a while with good results and no problems with smell or residue.
I have a pressure steamer that I use to clean the engine bay. It comes in handy for many things from the garage to the house. Grout cleaner, carpet/clothing stain removal.... even works wonders for removing badges from vehicles.
I use engine degreaser and spray it off with water once per year. I'm just careful around the electrical areas. I did the same to my C4's (86 and 96) as well with no problems.
I used simple green and had an annoying belt squeal afterwards for a few days then went away in it’s own. I didn’t spray it on the belts etc of course, just the water on it’s own i think made the tensioner or something noisy.

where did you attain that alternator cover? I like it!

It's an American Car Craft stainless altenator cover. Heavily sanded with matte black Cerakote, and black screw caps in place of the chrome ones that come with it. Also the Corvette logo was highly polished, so I had it brushed.
Do not use gunk spray cleaner to clean your engine! It will remove the writing on all of your engine decals. I discovered that when I used it years ago on my 98 Z28. As some of the forum members chimed in earlier, simple green is safe and cleans well, especially if your engine is warm. Spray it on and wait about 5 minutes before washing it off with low pressure. If you have some grimy components, it would be helpful to use a soft brush or cloth to agitate those surfaces. Good cleaning!
I also use Simple green deluted, cover the alternate & fuse box
That looks really good, Lee. I guess I’ll try this out when I wake the car up in the spring. I figure I’ll wrap the alternator and fuse box in plastic bags and have at it.
Don't use H2O on or near a Corvette engines bay.
Clean with a damp, clean, white, shop cloth.
patiently please.
What's your hurry? Got somewhere to go? Not going anywhere with wet GM electrics... Especially with ones toachy-when-wet Corvette power unit... Y'all goin no blooming where for a long long, long time...it's like.... keep your powder dry knocklhead. 🤨

I use a bit degreaser on a sock and on a variety of cotton swabs (regular to giant swabs available at Harbor Freight). They work great, and I just keep after keeping things clean. Of course living in Metro-Phoenix helps because we don't get that much rain.
