Crazy project - drift/track build
I'm planning on building my modified corvette C6 into a drift/track car and in this post I intend to gather information from some of you that have done similar projects and have good advice.
This is the current list of mods my car has:
LS2 engine
LS3 heads
Longtube headers
Xpipe
Borla extreme exhaust
Holley efi intake
BC Racing coilovers
Pushrods lifters and guides from an ls7
Z06 Clutch
Custom Cam
Shortshifter
VLand headlights
LED taillights
The car is currently in Spain and despite being in winter I'm already starting to find cooling problems so below is a list of mods I intend on doing.
1. Big coolant radiator from Mishimoto
2. 16 row oil cooler from Mishimoto
3. Prospeed High Output Dual Spal Fan Shroud System
4. I also plan on getting a grandsport/z06 big brake kit but wander if there are any better options for track use.
5. Hydro e brake
6. Corvette Super Angle Kit
7. My car is manual transmission T56, is there any option to cool this?
8. Any options to cool the differential?
9. To my understanding mine being a base 2005 with the T56, I can't swap any other short ratio transmission, am I right or do I have options?
10. I've also found that when the car gets hot, the clutch dumps to the floor and I have to pump it to get pressure and then it works okay. Can I install anything to make it beefier?
11 Rockauto sells DORMAN918328 which seems to be a power steering cooler, do I need it?
This is the major component list, I also plan on building a custom DRS wing, custom wrap, better aero, brake ducts, custom interior and more details.
Am I missing something major you guys would recommend?
Thanks in advance and looking forward to sharing the progress with you!
