I am a proud all original C3 owner also now saddled with my wrecked C6, thanks to a distracted driver and a pole. Trying to figure out what salvage options I have for this Black Manual 2005 1SB (everything but Nav) with 12,000 miles on her? Any suggestions appreciated. Low speed impact shattered the passenger fender, broke the rim and buckled the hood. No air bags deployed and the rest of the car is still perfect. No fluids leaked. Everything including windows still function. I just have no interest in rebuilding her and am looking to move on and pivot to a frame off on the C3 instead. It's killing me to look at her.
Any ideas? I am out of my element here. Not looking for help appraising value but more needing to find her a home and get her out of the expensive storage space asap. Not trying to get top dollar or anything here. What would you guys do in my shoes to accomplish this mission? Thanks in advance everyone.

I can't help you with value, but it would probably be helpful to others if they new what year it was and if it's a base model. Also some pics would be helpful too.
Wouldn't the other person's insurance pay for the cost to fix it? It doesn't sound like it would be totaled. Or if they don't have insurance, wouldn't your insurance cover "un-insured" motorist?
Hi there,
Seems to me the damage if very fixable. Without pics it is nearly impossible to make that conclusion, but it doesn't sound like it is a total loss. Copart buys (I think that's the name) salvage vehicles, but don't hold your breath. Seems to me the other party was at fault, if you in fact know who they are. I think with mileage that low I would look for a solution that doesn't ruin your financial interest in the car. Keep in mind there are people on this forum that may be interested in buying and fixing the car. Maybe try the "for sale" section of this forum and post pics and an asking price.
I realize it's very fixable. I am not interested in another project car at my age. I was looking for advice from someone who has been in my situation with a low mile and/or first year car. I appreciate some members curiosity. My insurance is out of the picture and the perp basically ran us off the road (and probably never knew it) and kept on going. So thanks for the questions and repair ideas but since I am going a different direction those posts aren't totally germaine. I am on a time crunch so a private party sale may be too time consuming, I was hoping there was some rescources or companies rebuilding or salvaging Corvettes in the NW that are better to deal with or are not obvious in the search engines.
Gave her away for next to nothing but at least I have closure. And I didn't talk myself into trying to fix her. Now the C3 will get some attention. I also have a nearly finished '66 GTO restoration ready to move out of the shop so lots of time opening up. Thanks for the help guys.
OP comes here, ask for advice, gets great advice, and then does want he probably already decided before making the post. His car, his right to do what he wants.

But why ask for help in the first place. SMH.
Good luck with the C3.

Really? I tend to think the "What a" remark applies to YOU. You sign up for the Corvette Forum and post #1 is your situation, asking for 'ideas" because it's "killing you" and you are "out of your element" and your immediate need "get her out of the expensive storage space asap"
Others chime in with, apparently, ideas that you don't agree with. Heaven forbid that some would question why the accident was not covered with uninsured motorist coverage, probably about 30 bucks more per year added to your insurance bill.
THEN you come back on here exactly ONE day later and magically everything is all resolved. With no mentioned of how you got rid of it.
And then you come on here two weeks after the last post to make your little comment. Enjoy your time in the C3 forum and no longer the C6 one.
