Auto trans shift cable replacement
Got stuck on highway. Had to AAA tow it home. New set of plastic bushings off Amazon. Able to replace front bushing by unbolting shifter, bushing was broken in half. Tight squeeze getting new one on, but I am afraid of driving before I replace rear bushing from underneath. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

Same situation happened with me, thankfully it was in my driveway. I got to the front bushing and it was completely dry rotted. It's been about 2 months since I've replaced it and there has been no problems. I'm sure the rear one will break off eventually but for now i've been pretty much daily driving with no issues.
