Have done some research and obviously space is a real premium. Looking for something that leaves the trunk open and allows the top to still function. Currently have the factory bose nav system but planning to replace the head unit in the next 30-60 days. What are some options you have used? Insaw crutchfield.com used to sell the JL Audio Stealth Box which is now discontinued. I saw a clone offered by another company but reviews seem to indicate its terrible. Not planning on entering any SPL competitions but some more bottom end punch would be nice.
You might want to post this over in the Audio and Electronic section. Lots of info over there and knowledgeable people. MadsonP and TorchRedFred come to mind. And they have lots of C6 experience.

I've had a thought about installing one behind the passenger seat. Need to make measurements one day when I get serious with the thinking.
That's reason Im waiting till spring she's covered in carport for new England winter. I think I can mount to wall behind seat close to floor, just not sure if I can put screw in hate to hit my gas tank.I rreplaced stock sound system with kenwood and kenwood speakers leaving bose amp.
This is my solution. And before you ask, no, I don't know where you can get these enclosures. I've never seen any others like them, so I tend to believe they were probably a one-off build.
I have been looking at this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/352276341895. For $110 it's worth a look.
And before you screw it into the wall behind the seat what a lot of people do is glue a piece of plywood back there, then you screw into that.
That is great idea about sliding board behind carpet to mount speaker or amp too.
once spring comes I will be doing exactly that, I can’t recall from memory how carpet is installed even though I replaced the two speakers back there about 2/3 years ago.

I did something similar to that with mine, it mounts in the space the original rear speakers were, after a few design changes this is my latest version. The amp https://www.kicker.com/CXA8001-800-W...-Subwoofer-Amp I mounted behind the water fall where the stock XM tuner was. I used the Kicker 8” Solo-barics. In my original design I used Kicker 8” round CompR’s, but I like the Solo-barics better as the sound of them has a little deeper bass compared the round CompR's. The sub sounds really good and the sound doesn’t muffled when the top is down which can happen with most trunk mounted subs. I was a challenge to build these which took me a couple of years of modifications to get my design to this point, but it was worth it. I’m still running the stock door speakers and amp, but adding the sub really livened up the sound by adding that much needed deep bass that the stock systems lack.
This gives you an idea of how much space there is to work with for the sub where the rear speakers were. I might add that I have a manual top also, so I don’t know how my latest design would work with a power top.

Well I have the power top. And I've decided to put 10" subs in the doors with an audio control sub amp. I have sounds good block off plates to enclose the doors. I have an alpine mini 4ch, 50 watt rms amp to power the jl audio 3.5s in the door and focal 1.5 tweets in the dash corners along with jl audio 5.25 separates for behind the seats. Trying for the best sound I can get without losing an inch of space
