2006 A-6 Sometimes when I turn car off like at a gas station, then get back in start it to to leave it won't come out of park. If I shut the car off and restart it will go in gear. What's going on. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It's a fairly common issue. Here's a thread explaining the problem with pictures and possible solutions. Also, C&S Corvette sells a replacement harness. The microswitches are also available online. You'd have to solder them in.

Here is a good explanation of what happens. I had this issue a couple of years ago and I went with replacing the wiring harness and switches from C&S. If you try pushing the shifter forward just a little bit to depress the front micro switch the shifter solenoid will fire and release the shifter.
