Hello, this is my first post on here and I had a question for you guys. I have 2010 ls3 auto and I just installed some speed engineering headers with no heat coating, and I decided to run open headers for just for a good laugh. I stumbled upon a problem where it seems like one of my engine mounting bolt is getting very hot. I understand that the c6 headers can get really hot so I bought some heat protection for the starter and transmission tunnel as well. But this is my first time discovering a problem like this, if anyone has had an issue like this how did you try to fix this or what did you change? Thank you.

What do you mean by one of the header bolt getting hot? Is it glowing hot, hot? If it is, that’s not good!
Please be more specific
if it's a header bolt (holding the headers to the engine), maybe there's an exhaust leak near the bolt (i'm sure it would be tough to tell while the headers are open..) maybe replace gasket. possible flange needs grinding/machining to be true?
if it's a motor mount bolt (the bolts holding up the engine on the frame/cradle) get some heat shielding, whether that's an exhaust wrap or a shield for the mount itself.

If it’s the engine mount bolt, then yes at some point it will be hot to the touch after the engine running.

Sorry for not specific enough. I figured out my issue, bolts are fine. There was bolt at the very bottom of the photo with some red. The red on there turned out to be just some paint, so sorry about any confusion!

Thanks for your reply and advice. I’ll definitely look into for some shielding for the mount!
