MAF sensor code
Last summer, I started to get the occasional Left Bank rich code by using my VCX Nano scanner. I would rest, but it would occasionally come back in.
I checked the coils, the spark plugs, removed the MAF sensor to check that out as well. All looked good. my 2006 has 125K miles on it so I replaced the spark plugs and wires, and this seemed to fix the running rich bank codes. I just recently took my car from winter hibernation, and on my first long run, I recived the MAF sensor code.
I run a Vararam Snake Charmer CAI, have had it on since 2010 or so without any issues. When I claned the filter on the CAI, I sprayed WD-40 on the back side of the filter, which I had done many times prior.
Since I didnt clean the MAF last summer, I bought a can of MAF cleaner and sprayed it good, let it dry then reinstalled. So far, no more MAF sensor codes, so I'm crossing my fingers that it was the cause of the code.
Did anyone else with a Vararam have the same issue with a dirty MAF?
