Vette-Freak,

You misunderstand. I have been a member for more than 3 years, 36 posts! I drive the hell outta my car, I love it. I use the Corvette Forum for info, and reading pleasure that outpaces slow to the newstand magazines. I am agitated that some person, or any, has a little thrill in posting new (to them) info, and some people who need a life, flame or just get cranky with them. I am glad a few people understood what I'm talking about. I love my car, and sharing my car fanatical hobbies with others who enjoy it also!

P.S. I can't drive my car, been in the shop for a week. Mods you know.

Let me hopfully clarify some things for you. My response to you was not missunderstood nor did I state anything about your tenure here on this forum. I hope that you drive your car since I'll bet thats why you bought it. My guess is we ALL use the forum for the latest info hince why we are here.
Your original post tells why you are frustrated in the flaming of people here & my response was merely a futile attempt at sarcasm to show you that "before you accuse me, take a look at your self." from an old CCR recording. I am not going to get into a character debate with you nor am I going to respond to this topic anymore. Just enjoy the vette & save the wave.
Wheew.........

Default This board has changed.

I've been a member of this board since some time in 2000 I think. Back then I was hanging out here thinking I would buy an LT1 C4, as that was the best Vette I could afford. I ended up getting a 2000 Z28 instead because it would have warranty, an LS1, an be overall more affordable. This was a tough decision for two reasons. One, I have wanted a Vette since I was seven years old and saw my first new Vette in 1979. Two, this board was full of very respectfull Corvette enthusiasts. The Camaro board had and still has lots of argumenative trolls, not like this board was. Well, I am back now because I want to sell my Z28 to get a C5, but I am dismayed to see how much this board has become just like the Z28 site. Don't get me wrong, there are MANY great folks here, and at the Z28 site, but I have to sift through a LOT of crap to find the good stuff. C'mon guys, we should all help each other enjoy America's sports car, not spend our time looking for dupes and trying to "one up" each other.

Now I am not going to point fingers or name names of those who polute this board with child like posts, but here's a hint. If you just read my post and thought about flaming me....calm down.

Dale

So let me get this straight. You would like to come in here, and see 15-20 different threads by different people with all of the same pictures in each thread? That's a great way to waste forum resources, annoy the users, and does no good to anyone.

mitchy, I gree, this place used to be more friendly than it is now but it's still not too bad. The reason is plain and simple: the population on this board has increased substantially. There is not much we can do about it but grin and bear it. It used to be easy to keep up with most of the threads in the C5 section. Now it is impossible, which leads to more dupes.

Hey,

I think I might not be the only one who is getting sick and tired of hearing you weenies gripe and moan about someone dupin' a pic or a thread or whatever! I saw the C6 pics for the first time because someone reposted those SF pics. So What! Why don't you guys go out and mod or drive your Vettes, instead of flaming people, or bitchin. Jeez! Get a life, get away from the computers, go out and look at, or drive the 3 dimensional cars, or talk to real people or haul butt on real roads. I don't have 22,000 posts, I have 22,000 miles on my new Z06!

Dig?

P.S. I really like the C6!

Thanks Island Hopper!
:iagree: Been reading this forum every day for 6 mos and the dupe flames are way out of line JIMHO.

Id have to agree with vette lag on this. Not everyone on the site has time to read all the posts every day. I can see people getting annoyed if repeats are right there on the top of the first page but its still no big deal. You can just go to tne next topic or politely tell somone that there post is a repeat instead of insulting them and making them not want to post here anymore.

If you have enough time read the posts here every day then you can probably spare the few seconds it takes to skip a thread and go to the next one.

Yeah,

It's a dupe :_dupe: Tifoso, you need to start paying attention to the world around you. You need to "look out" man. I've seen things. I've seen dead people drivin Mudstains, have you? You better smarten up, you're gonna let all these dupes, and dopes pass you by. Look out for "charlie" in the trees.
Wow, got carried away there for a second.

 Anyone know where I can get the guidelines for driving in the Silver State Challenge?

Hugs and kisses
