They will begin building the C6 at the end of December 03 and January 04...Actually for a couple of months both the C5 and C6 will be built at the same time...
Besides, GM just said it will be a 3rd quarter production start with 4th quarter delivery. Why would they lie and do it 6 months early? :confused:

They usually start taking orders in May for the New Model year. They do a slower production run for the first couple of weeks to make sure the quality is where it is supposed to be and then gradually build it to normal after that. It is what they call "ramping up production". That would put the first ones on the ground in the July/August time frame because of the lead time from order to production and the two week plant shutdown that almost all GM plants have during July.
