"Dual projectors with HID and a DRL in a body color bezel" vs. " A single projector , incandesent high beam, and a DRL in a black bezel" For me that's a pretty big difference in content. Once again the Corvette is showing "state of the art technology". I can't believe that I am the only one that sees that.
Perhaps this is a case of convergent evolution?? Am I going to mistake a C6 for a 2nd gen Viper? No. Is it possible that from a distance, many of the less devoted (compared to those of us spending considerable free time here on the forum) will wonder what that is in their rear view mirror? Quite possibly. From the rear, the C6 is unmistakably a Vette. However, there's little doubt that a C6 looks much more like a 2nd gen Viper than a C5 resembles a 1st gen Viper. Does it matter? Not really to me. If you are not a Vette-o-phile and your devotion is for sale, perhaps is may make a difference. Anyone think D-C will come after Chevrolet like they did in the Jeep/Hummer case? I doubt it.
The Viper looks like a Viper and the C6 looks like a Corvette, headlight shapes are different, one has a hood scoop, the other doesn't and the grill openings are totally different.
After seeing all the comments in this section about how the C6 looks like this car or that car, it makes we wish I was an optometrist. Lots of folks here need an eye exam.
