Default HOT! Blue Devil/Red Devil Renderings (Hi-res also)

New Links to Hi-res versions for better look

To all Corvette Fans:

One last gift for today.

Attached are two renditions of what GM could easily do with the Z06 or Rumored Blue devil with a few mods. I also rendered one in Red with a varied wire mesh grill and I call it the "Red Devil"

If you like what you see please be sure to check out my other thread titled "NEW revised images for ALL C6 styling critics" it has a really great C6 composite poster I produced showing the C6 from many different views as well as some great points of information that hopefully helps you see the great car that this is in my opinion.

I also have a thread titled "More Requested C6 Mod Pictures" if you want to see some varied C6 base model looks with glass top, wire mesh grill and profile comparisions to the C5 and Viper SRT.

Thank You,

Jim McClain

Nice work. But, that look would work better for the next iteration of the Camaro than for the next generation Corvette IMHO. My 2 cents.

That's ugly, especially the wheels.

Obviously your not happy with the design of the new C6, but the many comparisions I keep hearing about how the C6 looks like a Viper, RX-8 and now the camaro seem to all be rooted in the fact that it has non-pop up lamps as the rest of the car lines are no where near any of the vehicles mentioned.

In one of my other threads I showed the difference between the C5, C6 and SRT and now for all to judge - here are camaro photo comparisions.

Personally, I see nothing even similar. The rear of the Camro is completely different with a big bumper and totally different lights than the easily Corvette recognizable C6 quad lamps. The profile of the Camaro has alway been fairly flat and linear where especially in the new C6 there are the trademark Corvette curves as well as significantly different lines / details especially in the door panels. From the front the newer ss camaro has very differently shaped headlamps as well as bulging lips and much straighter hood lines. The older camaro has very flat linear lines.

To me the C6 is definitely a Corvette and not a next gen Camaro, Viper replica or other mentioned vehicles. hopefully GM can offer a popup headlight option for all those who really want that look or someone in the aftermarket can develop them.

Thank You,

Jim McClain

That's the California Camaro, the concept from which the styling for the 1993 Camaro was primarily based. I've always liked it, but to each his/her own.

:chill: I didn't say the C6 looked like a Camaro. I said the look Jim presented would work better for the next interation of the Camaro than for the next generation Corvette in my honest opinion.

And yes, as many AutoWeek readers have suggested, the Blue Devil name was chosen intentionally to catch the attention of General Motors CEO and Duke University Blue Devil alumnus Rick Wagoner.
