I felt a little petty complaining about the steering wheel, but now the shift ****? Come on folks, are you really going to say, "I love everything about the C6, but I just can't stand that shift ****, so I guess I'll buy a ______."
:skep: :steering:

I like it. If it looks like carbon though, I think it should be real carbon.

Anyone else notice that at the LA show, the shift ****'s stitching doesn't flow or line up with the stitching on the shift boot?

I posted the pics below in another thread. A few of us here searched for some time before finding the Hurst/SLP f-body **** on SLPonline and modified it for our C5's. It turned out to be an excellent shift **** for ~$23. It also turned out to be surprisingly similar to the C6's ****. So, I guess the answer to your question is - I like it! :yesnod:

:iagree:
Is the car fast? Does it look good? Handles well? That's all I care about. On the list of things that require mechanical proficiency, replacing the shift **** is WAY down there.

Of all the appearance mods that I have done (including adding the brushed aluminum bezels which required taking apart the whole dash) the demon key was the worst :reddevil :banghead:

i like it if it is real carbon fiber. if it is fake carbon fiber then that is really cheezy.
What if it looked exactly like carbon fiber, looked so much like it that you could not tell the difference? Is that cheezy?

Looks notwithstanding, it appears to be ergonomically correct. I'm anxious to get a hand on it.
