One small point...with the C6 you don't have to worry about locking your keys in the car. Just keep the Fob in your poctket.

With our FX45, if you leave the fob anywhere in the car and you don't have another fob within 1 meter of one of the recievers(side mirrors, rear hatch, and gas cap), it won't let you lock the car.

Considering the problems we have had with it on my wife's Buick, I think it is greatly overpriced.

I contacted OnStar last month and was told by e-mail that C6's would all get generation 6 digital units. Where is your info from?

If $695 covered the basic plan for the life of the car, I would get it. Having to pay monthly or yearly, no way.

I agree it may be a little high since you have to subscribe as well after 3 months... but its one of those gadget things and I love gadgets so when it comes down to the big scheme of things... I tell myself what is another $700 gonna due when Im paying $59K for it.... plus Im sure later on down the road they may add more cool things to Onstar.
The really cool new things will probably require new hardware which GM will be happy
to upgrade for your for another $700
