No. I want to be wowed and blown away by the apperance of a car. That's ugly, not to mention dull, unadventurous, lame. My mate has seen it in the flesh and you know what? Ugly!
I saw the new C6 @ the NYC auto show.... I was a little less than impressed - Unfortunately! The car had a ton of things going for it (i.e. flush headlights, available nav., keyless start, available power top, etc.) but from a "look" standpoint?
I think the car looked a lot smaller than a C5, even moreso than the numbers out from GM claim. I think it was a semi-decent evolution of the C5, but certainly not a whole new creation.
It'll take some time for the new bodystyle to sink-in with most people, but once the aftermarket/tuners get their hands on them and we start reading about CRAZY power figures..... IT'LL BE THE BEST THING OUT SINCE SLICED BREAD!!!!
Only time (and sales figures) will tell how successful the car will be.
Well, so what. If the C5 guys wanna talk about the performance of a C6... It should be in C5.... If the C6 guys wanna talk shop about the C5... it should be in C6. It's a question of, who's the intended audiance... A moderators nightmare
whats the pic of a hardtop viper with a modifed c5 rear doing here??? oh,, sorry thats the c6,,hmmmmm.....I like a few things about it,,the main one is I dont have to worry about buying one,,,,,,,I like the c5 better
My biggest complaints with my Z are its size, headlights, and the interior. GM has addressed all of these issues and added 55HP to the C6.
There are going to be a number of 11 second, bone stock C6's posting on the forum this time next year.
I didn't buy my Z for its looks. I bought it because it performs better than most cars twice its price. The C6 carries on this tradition and I am assuming the sub 3,000 lb C6 Z will take it up a couple of notches. If the new Z runs mid to low 11s, I could care less what it looks like. No one ever bought a grand national for its looks.

This logic could get confusing. Let's say a Mustang owner also owns a C5 and wants to talk about F-Bodies. To whom is his intended audience. Hmmm. I say this thread belongs in the C6 General section.
