Why couldn't GM offer a Z06 package for either a coup or vert, stick or auto?
It would be kind of cool to find the vette you want and say "but i want add the Z06 package" - cost a few more grand but I would spend it

Order your C6 with the Z51 package and you're there. Performance of an 04 Z06 with your choice of tops and trannies.
Too many folks see Z06 as a package and not as a completely different model.
I think GM is fixing that with the C6.

I know I want it, but I know I'm going to have to either buy a Conv and upgrade it (which will never quite be a C6-Z06), or buy a C6-Z06 and have a Conv conversion done (which may be pricey).
