Thanks for everyone's help. I have moved this to a fresh thread.
My 6 CD in dash player won't play tracks above 9. This has nothing to do with the CD player with the NAV option.
Thanks to those who have offered VINs but there is some confusion using just 3 digits. I would have thought that GM has not built 1000 production cars yet but who knows. I have the following so far:
My VIN #1G1YY24U955101531 6 CD changer won't play tracks above 9
Tome VIN #711 6 CD changer upper track problem
Cam30era VIN #1315 6 CD changer working on tracks above 9
Nextone VIN #1338 6 CD changer working on tracks above 9
So by looking at this list of partial VINs it is possible that Tom and I have one of the later cars and the order is:
Cam30era #1315
Nextone #1338
Richbell #1531
Tome #711 (#1711)?
Does this seem right?
Also.. any others with 6 CD in dash changers.. can you play tracks above 9?
My 6-CD player has NO problems with tracks higher than 9. My VIN is 100680. This may be an issue with a batch of Radios. Not sure if there is a way to retrieve the S/N or other information for the radio/CD unit.

Thanks AZ! So you have what appears to be the first build I guess. If your VIN is 100680 your complete VIN would be
1G1YY24U955100680 ?? Can you confirm?
Which would mean your car was built 680 production cars before mine? My VIN is 1G1YY24U955101531
Let me know if I have this VIN thing correct.
It would now look like this..
AZ #0680 no problem
Cam30era #1315 no problem
Nextone #1338 no problem
Richbell #1531 can't play upper tracks
Tome #711 (#1711)? can't play upper tracks

Close. My VIN is 1G1YY24UX55100680. I tried two CD-R's without any problems. I will try several others later today.
Interesting that it is only the higher VIN's. Are there any other common denominators? Maybe should ask which sound option RPO code (e.g. US9, UE1, U3U, U2K) was installed in the car.
OK.. it looks like this is NOT production date related. If I correct Tom's VIN the situation looks like this:
AZ #0680 no problem Tome #0711 can't play upper tracks above 9
Cam30era #1315 no problem
Nextone #1338 no problem Richbell #1531 can't play upper tracks above 9
Please contact me over email. I need your contact info. I believe we can expedite a 6 CD changer to your local dealer. This is new information for the plant according to my guy after talking with Will Cooksie the plant manager.
The plant just started back today but wants to take care of this.
Just checked mine today, can't play anything above track 3. Anybody know what the deal with this is? I called the local dealers, they don't have a clue.
Thanks,
Marc

Reason: added vin
I remember (in my younger years) installing
several Car Stereos in most of my cars. On the
units that were CD players, I would make all
the electrical connections and turn the unit ON
(just to make sure that the connections were
right). While holding the player (when CD is playing),
if I tilted the player, I noticed that the CD would
stop playing (of course most of us knows why).
On another car, I recalled that I had to REALLY
make sure that the CD player (radio) was level
to play correctly.
After reading most of the posts on this subject, I
was wondering if the factory forgot to maybe
install a bracket to keep the unit level or something
like this.
I wish the best and hope that your radios get fixed.
