Thanks. It would be REALLY USEFUL, if someone with the technical knowledge could boil down what is available. So, far all the auto electronics people, my dealer, and everyone else give conflicting answers.
My dealer actually told me XM with direct digital connection could be added on, but after scheduling the appt, and paying for it, the installer called and said it would work on every GM car EXCEPT the C6. He said he was certain it would be available in 6 months.
As to the aux input for direct MP3 connection, it's been the same run-around.
Well - I have an Iriver, not Ipod (gotta love a 16-hour battery life!) and I've used the FM transmitter gadgets with mixed results. It seems to work fine as long as there's nothing at the low end of the spectrum.. but if there's a decent-powered station in the ballpark, it's sketchy.
I'd love to plug it in - but oh well.. if I can't do it, I'll stick to XM.
