Stereo Aux Input?
Is there any kind of AUX input to the stereo for use with a portable device? Most of the new cars are coming through with them now - I'd hope the Vette does too.
Any help is appreciated

I had a local stereo shop add a new stereo/DVD/nav system in the wife's H2 a few weeks ago. I will trry to take the C6 over to them and let them see if they can come up with anything.
I also went for the NAV (though I did go for XM, too) so no MP3 playback.. but I figured they'd have a place to plug my Iriver in. Guess not.

You're out of luck so far.
Too bad you don't have a Cardiac Pacemaker. My iPod hooks right up to it, and goes wherever I go!
And, the heartbeat is the perfect Bass Boost!

IRock transmitter
I bought this from radio shack.. comes with a plug (I use the one in the armrest).. and i keep this in the cupholder along with my dell jukebox (or ipod). Tune the radio to 88.1 or another station (you can set it on the device) and turn it on... Works great.. sounds great. no problems at all so far.. Worth the 20 bux for not going nuts trying to find another way to get an Aux input.
**NOTE: The reviews on amazon are people using batteries.. and yes the quality sucks when using batteries... use the 12v adapter

My first CD changer ran through the FM. I couldn't believe how much better the music sounded when I bought my first car with a regular CD player.
Depends on your ears, but an MP3 file is compressed. Supposedly we can't tell the difference, but I'm not sure. Add running that through the FM, cutting off above 15,000, and I don't think Robert Plant is going to sound as good. Not opinion. Tried it with my dad's MP3 player and his FM thingy in his car. Did a back to back with the original CD... CD won hands down. Maybe background music, okay.
I'm not against MP3 or Ipods. Plan to get the changer in the C6 to play MP3's, and have an Ipod on order. Just think hardwiring will sound better than the FM passthrough. But if it's all we've got...

XM Satellite Radio connector on audio system?

Default XM Satellite Radio connector on audio system?
Hey guys and girls,
I was wondering how the XM Satellite radio is connected with the DVD navigational audio system. I simply assume the XM radio is some sort of small box, hidden from view and which uses a cable to connect it with the DVD audio system. Needless to say, I'm a total noob about this sort of stuff and can't find any information about it on the internet. Except this package on the internet called "GM10-AUX - GM Digital auxiliary input converter". I'm asking this because I want to use this connector port on the navigational audio system for my Apple iPod. Being rather fond of high quality music, FM modulation just isn't going to cut it.
Does the audio system (DVD, 6disc changer or standard) come with an AUX or extra "line in" sort of stuff?
I'll worry about installing it later, I just want to know if it's possible in the first place. Thanks in advance for answering!

You could be our salvation and take your car into a really good Audio shop and having them yank the nav head out and look for an "aux port". Take lots of pic please<G>.
You might check out the FAQ sticky section...been a LOT of talk about this very subject.
One member has had an XM unit placed in the Ashtray/cig lighter area....the door actually worked afterward also.

PS - I just did a "google" on the item you mentioned. Looks interesting.
