Cags Install
The CAGS calibration seems to be more demanding on the 2005 car than previous models, probably to meet the fuel economy standards in spite of it's extra displacement. The C6 seems like it requires a higher shift point before CAGS allows you to select 2nd gear than the C5.
The C6 has more low end torque than the 5.7 liter engine. It has a VERY strong and flat torque curve. There is no need to turn up as many rpm to take advantage of the power. No, it doesn't have the torque of the ZZ502/502 engine in my C3, but it does approach the torque of a big block engine. It feels much stronger than the C5 engine. To utilize the additional low end torque, you want to shift at a lower rpm.
The CAGS on the Z51 C6 that I drove for a day was a real P.I.T.A!
My DSOM Z51 MN6 was built last week. The first thing I will do when I get it home will be to ELIMINATE THE CAGS!
