I have a C6 w/ the 1SB package and would like to add an external audio device. I noticed that there is a CD/AUX button. The manual just states, "If you system is equipped with a remote playback device, pressing this button a second time wil allow the remote device to play". But it doesn't mention where the aux inputs are (if there are any).

Good question, I'd like to know the same in order to hook up an iPod or other device.
I asked this a while back, and I think the consensus was that ther was some type of adapter needed to hook something in where the optional CD changer would connect.
Supposedly - there were adapters that did this with the C5.. search the archives for the thread.

I need this as well for my XM Roady. In my S2000 I purchased a PIE/AUX adapter which converts the CD changer port to an aux port. Works really well. I am not sure, however, that they have one yet for the C6 since it is so new. I am going to check into it soon though.
I had already searched the archive for "aux", "input", etc... I saw the post you referred to, but as you pointed out, it's for a C5.
What disturbs me is that the manual references the CD/AUX button, but does not follow up with an explanation of how to utilize it.
On the C5, the manual said the same thing, but if you got the CD changer, it came with its own manual which explained button use on the head unit. The button is meant for add-on GM changers, but with the proper adapter, you can hook up anything that has RCA output jacks.
