Default Creature comforts

I might be getting a little nit-picky here, but I was just wondering:

1. If my $36,000 Trailblazer has a switch to heat the seat cushion and seat back, or just the seat back, why doesn't the C6? I have two bad discs in my lowe rback, and the seat back only heat is a real relief.

2. If my wife's new $ 27,000 Malibu Maxx has adjustable pedals, why not the C6?

3. If my $36,000 Trailblazer has power adjustment for the seat back rake, why not the C6?

4. If my $36,000 Trailblazer has seat-mounted seatbelts (comfort and safety), how come not in the C6?

I know that the C6 had to be built as light as possible (quoting ACB Chapman, enigineer in lightness, or something like that), but seriously, how much could these items weigh?

Just a thought.

IMHO, seat mount belts suck.

Default Yo Zack

Sounds like you should stay with your Trail Blazer and Malibu. You'd be more happy

The 1SB seat heats all the way up.

Adjustable pedals? 1SB has telescoping wheel, and the malibu?

Did you notice the C6 has no back seat? Where you gonna rake that thing back to?

Seat mounted seat belts are OK in a Trailblazer or Cadillac, however the make the seat very rigid and limit it's design possibilities.

Sounds like you found your ideal ride and are actually looking for a new forum.

Seat Backs on the C6 can't be power operated because they

must be able to fold foreward.

You could go on with this line of logic...

How come the C6 doesn't have a back seat?
Why isn't the C6 all wheel drive?
Why aren't fabric seats offered?
How come the C6 doesn't get better gas mileage?
Why doesn't the C6 have more cup holders?
Why doesn't the C6 coupe come with a power sun roof?
Why isn't there a hybrid C6?

I guess it's just really hard to compare an all out, $50K super car that's bred for performance with SUVs, pick up trucks, and family sedans. It's a question of priorities. If performance isn't your number one priority, you'll never understand why this car is what it is.

My Cadillac and my wife's Envoy are perfectly satisfactory for what they are. So is my C6.

I was waiting for someone to comment on the lack of tow capacity on the C6

Although, an SUV Vette has been rumored. Saw a couple of spy photos and couldn't tell it if it was a concept car or just a custom. Vette SUV pulling a Vette ski boat

Not true. My BMW has power adjustment for the seatback, yet can fold forward to let people into the back seat. Folding seat forward is a manual action and the seatback always returns to the previous position.

1) Why doesn't my Lexus run 12's???

2) Why doesn't my Escalade do good in autocross???

3)....

Who cares? They do what they do best! Enjoy what you have to work with and don't nit pick luxury items on a sports car, or performance #'s on a luxury car....

The C6 is the best sports car I have ever owned. x 1000

Nope. They don't accellerate, brake, or corner like the C6. Just wondering if they could make a really fantastic car better. GM always brings out a car 75% done, then imporves it during its model run. (See Fiero, Camaro, GNX, etc.) If GM adds these items in the future, we'll both be happy.

Have a happy and healthy holiday season.

I beg to differ. In my life, I have owned Audi Quattros, a BMW, Buick GS, E Type Jag, and a TR-6, among others. I was a SCCA Cen-Div champion.

I think that Acura taught Ferrari and others that a supercar need not be a penalty box. If you want raw power and no amenities, I suggest that you consider selling your vette and buying a Cobra (the original AC-based one, not the Mustang) or, if you want ultimate handling, a Super 7.

My point is that with modern engineering, you no longer have to suffer discomfort to enjoy performance.

By the way, did you order your C6 with the 1SX package, or the 1SB?

I think big sliding doors that come out on a track would be nice . . . and how about a hot plate to cook meals . . . or a microwave for popcorn on those long comutes.
