The dealer did acknowledge the difference in paint match between the removeable top and the body. There was little question from anyone in the service department. They recommended a re-paint in their shop.
An appointment was made and the C6 was taken care of by good hands. Four days later it came out with a very good color match on the top. I couldn't have asked for better than this!
No problems...and many thanks to all that expressed an opinion here.
The color match problem seems to be hit or miss and is due primarily to the three different composite materials that are used. The color I've heard (and seen) it being most prevalant on was LeMans Blue though there were some cars that the shift was not as noticeable as others. Hopefully GM will be able to correct this.
I have a Mag Red Coupe and I have the same problem. The top is a little darker, but I'm just going to live with it. Sometimes having them repaint something causes more problems. Vin ........3263
