Default Help On C6 Decision

Can yall help me decide on which C6 to get out of these 2 listed below.
The only difference is one has F55 and every other option the other has Z51 instead of F55 but does not have DVD Nav.
Also what are the pros of the F55 other than it gives you a smooth
ride. What are the pros of the sport ride?
Thanks

First: Black with ebony interior
6 spd
F55 Onstar
XM radio
DVD Nav.
Polished wheels

Second: Black with ebony interior
6 spd
Z51
Onstar
XM radio
Polished wheels

looks like you're getting the same C6 I have: blk on blk, 6 sp, z51, on-star, xm, 1sb, polished wheels. Can't compare the z51 to the F55.

either one will give you much joy and happiness.

If you'll ever go to the track, get the Z51. If you have rough roads and/or a sensitive butt, get the F55. Very many trips, go with the Nav.

Set your priorities:

Is handling more important, or having Nav?
For me it was simple. Handling. I don't need Nav, 'cause I don't go anywhere!
The F55 handling will be more than adequate, if you go Nav.

Nav was a deal breaker for me. I've been in too many cars with it not to get it in my new car.

Luckily, I found a car with all the options I wanted (1SB, Nav, Z52, MN6), but if I had to choose between the two you're showing, I'd pick the F55 and Nav.

For me, the Corvette will be a daily driver that will be tracked, and I could go either way on the suspension. On one hand, the magnetic ride is a cool tech trick, and I would have loved to have it -- but I would rather have the extra performance of the Z-51. On the other, I know that even though I do pretty well on the track, I will have difficulties exacting all of the performance out of either suspension package, and I will miss the improved ride of the F55. Plus, I have other track cars.

Between two identical cars, I'll take the Z51. But in this scenario, nav means more.

For me there were two must haves NAV and F55. I'm more into taking road trips in my Corvettes than I am tracking them.

What do you mean to tell us? You never go to Oatman or Bullhead or Laughlin or Needles? How about KINGMAN? Sedona and the Oak creek canyon? Used to have a little poker issue in your part of the world--took a c6 to get me out of the Riverside's poker room--that and online poker.

It sounds like you have buyers impulse and want it now!

I recommend you really think it over, you are spending a big
chunk if change here.

First thing you have to decide is if you want the NAV.
I love mine and wouldn't order without it.

This topic has been discussed more than once...

Basically the F55 does have a better ride, almost like you're on air, and handles quite nicely.

The Z51 has a truer glued to the road feel. Tires wont last as long but will help you stop faster and pull 1g.

Either way, think of this car as a Tuxedo, you wouldn't buy it off the rack.

There's nothing wrong with buying a car from stock, just make sure you are making no compromises and it has everything you dreamed of.

I got the second choice. NAV is nice, but in my opinion there are better after market solutions that what comes standard. True, they will not integrate into the HUD, but that is not a concern for me.

For me, the decision was made easier by the fact that the NAV doesn't have a 6-disc changer and can't play MP3 discs.

I'd go with the Z51. Nav not a big deal for me! If I don't already know where I'm going I probably ought not to go.

Junkie...how do you like your F55? I've ordered the same in my vert. I really like what I've read about the performance of the system, but have not had the opportunity to talk with anyone 1st hand who actually has it. Would appreciate your feedback, sounds like we do the same kind of driving.

There are plenty out there, why compromise? Find the one equiped the way you want. Mine is a Z51, MN6, Nav, XM, Onstar, 1SB ride. The sports seats and side airbags are a must. Heated seats are great- there was a thread yesterday about them. Bottom line, get the C6 set up the way you want it, there are plenty around. Best of luck!
