Caravaggio Targa for C6 Z06?
Has anyone heard anything about Caravaggio coming out with a Targa? Just wondering who will be first to offer an aftermarket kit to allow the use of a the standard Coupe panel.

Why mess with a targa when You Can Go All The Way!
As that guy on ESPN says -
try Coach Builders down in beautiful Florida for a retractable hardtop, looks really cool and would be the ultimate Z06.

Well, try a little harder
John will certainly be working on a targa option, but this will be a challenge. Removing the roof panel is easy: you could do it in 10 minutes yourself with a socket wrench. The problem is you are stuck with ugly aluminum tabs that stick out. Being thorough, I am sure John will do a complete conversion including a real targa panel and the Coupe's hardware to make it "like stock". But it will be an irreversible process. Finally, there is no way to know how chassis flex will be affected by this mod. I rode in a C5 Z with the targa conversion and the car felt just as stiff as my Z06 with the roof in. But the new AL frame is an unknown.
I am quite sure the frame would not be significantly affected, because I know that frame will eventually be applied across the line and would have to be acceptable in targa form. But I would not want to make that bet if it were my $70,000 on the line...
I have a better idea: keep the Coupe, save $40,000, and put some mods on it to run with the Z until the time the Z06 goes Targa in a couple of years.
