EDIT: Orange marker thingy.

I pulled my intake off(to install ported manifold) and there was no signature on the valley cover. I only had the plate on the fuel rail.

aah, nothing major, im just replacing the stock valvesprings with high-lift valvesprings, infact after taking out the old ones they were already broken from below, my car has done 45,000 KM and I was nervous driving the car down with the supercharger after hearing and seeing a lot of failures in LS7s, most of which were due to broken springs!

im also changing out the clutch and flywheel, lowering the car, installing gauges, a nice exhaust switch, fixing a few things here and there too

Henry,

How far back did you and the other builders start signing the valley cover? My car was built on Jan 13, 2006. Steve Collins built my engine on Jan 3, 2006(Hopefully he wasn't hung over from the New Years party ) Actually, this engine is one solid strong running SOB. Is it possible that my was signed by Steve?

By the way, that was a very cool idea for you guys to do that

Ayousef, Thanks for bringing this to our attention It is hard to believe it took 3 years of production before hearing about this.

Tom

I don't think that Steve was one of the builders that signed the valley cover. We only did this last year and for a couple of months until the hammer fell. management has no since of humor. I’m not so sure that the guys that are still there will get a taking to if they find out. Oh well it will be worth it. Total there me be 100 engines that has this done.. If any one out there has my last one I have a free poster that I will send to you. The cover will say "My Last LS7" on it. good luck to all.

Thanks Henry

No, I was mistaken on the date :o it was August 31 2007 the Friday before Labor Day so any one with a engine number that starts with 3224317xx or 3224217xx I will have to check for sure and will post the correct number but it will be one of these for sure. I will give a poster to the lucky person. I started at the other place September 4th. Show me the sticker and I will believe you and you do not have to pull the intake.

Thanks Henry

He is still here. I would think valley covers would not be very expensive. Have it signed and put it on when you get time.

How about someone at Bowling Green finding out which car (VIN) it went in?

Pretty good stuff... Sounds like something I would do. If in fact I were an engine builder at GM...
