Please help me decide Z guys!
I am trying to decide which car to buy and need to decide by 6:00 PM today! Both cars are 2008 ZO6s, JSB, 2LZ, NAV, ebony interior, with good tires. I really appreciate views besides my own. Here are the differences:
Car A: 400 miles away, chrome wheels, numerous minor scratches, one previous minor accident, clutch replacement at 5800 miles, new rear tires, 10,050 miles, previous owner will not discuss the car, independent car lot, standard GM warranty, drives out good, the price is $53,500.
Car B: Local original 1 owner, polished wheels, zero defects in the paint and finish, zero accidents, zero warranty work, original tires greater than 50% remaining, 7,700 miles, previous owner traded car due to finances, at a good Chevrolet dealersip, GM Certified car with additional 1 year/12,000 warranty added, drives and smells brand new, zero issues, the price is $56,995.
Difference in monthly payment with 5.59% APR 72 months is $53.00 There is a $3500 price difference. I have a current and accurate CarFax, AutoCheck, and GM VIS report on both cars.
Come on guys, help a brother out!

Car B. You get more warranty, no accident, less miles, and a local dealer (no shipping). Also, the car is in overall better condition. I would say all those factors are worth the extra $3,500 overall.
Is that the final price. Might be able to get a better price if you try, but that seems okay to me.

Car B hands down! Too many issues with Car A - AND car B is local, certified, no accidents, etc. I have been following your threads over the past few weeks.......time to pull the trigger if this is really what you want. My 2 cents......
Good luck, Ron

Go with "B" but try to hammer him on the price a little. I just paid $63,700 for a brand new 18 mile loaded 3LZ.
There's lots of great deals on new and slightly used Zs out there...don't be too quick to jump as I've seen many of them pass by in my recent shopping experience...
Good luck!!!!!

From what you've represented here, I really don't see the difficulty in seeing which is the more desired deal. A new clutch at 5800 miles and new tires shortly after?....hmmmm, I wonder how the car was driven regularly?
If the $53.00/month difference is really making it an issue, I suggest you don't buy either car.
Strapped or not, Car B is the choice based on your info presented here. I wouldn't consider Car A period.

Car B- IMO if you are going to be paying a note might as well really love the car....condition, color, everything. The work, wreck, and defects would drive me nuts on Car A.

Car B without a doubt. The fact that the original owner wont discuss car A is a huge problem in my book!!! Minor acident is probably bigger than you think, maybe not huge but NO accident is always better than even a little one. Just my opinion!!
