UPDATE on the weight of the parts. Together the CF roof and bow panel are 15 lbs. The roof is 12 and the bow is 3. Unfortunately the roof came in with damage so I have not taken the stock roof off yet to compare weights. Apparently GM thinks bubble wrap draped over the roof will keep it safe during the trip from Michigan to California.

You are a godsend. I've been looking for the ZR1 roof top for a while on the internet, but have not found any leads till now. I am definately in the market for that. I will put some money together and take one of those very soon.

Interference in a For Sale thread
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don’t like the price or item being offered in for sale thread, take it to e-mail or PMs. Better still, just move on to a thread that is offering something you like the price on.
If you post a criticism of the price or the quality of the item being offered, you will be in violation of Forum rules and subject to sanctions.
If you post your own for sale items to the for sale thread started by someone else, you also are in violation of Forum rules. Start your own thread, rather than jumping into the thread of someone else.
If your contribution to a for sale thread does not advance the sale, you are in the way.

i have seen several large oversized parts never boxed up and just bubble wrapped with many layers and then shipped before. i wouldnt put it past gm to do it that way either to save a few $$

It was in a box, but the roof in the box was just flopping around. I saw the way it was packed and it was a lousy job. Just dropped the car off but the last 12 miles to the dealer was on a flatbed. The motor seized up.

On the bright side, it will give us plenty of time to install the new roof and haol while waiting for word on the new motor......
