The car is for sale now, and if it sells before Petit, it will be shipped. If it does not sell then we are racing at Petit.

See you at the races

LG

WOW! I wish you luck selling it. If you don't, I will see you at Petit.

Make sure you do stop by this year. Always nice running into you and your wife at the track.

Please let us know if you guys are not going to race. We probably won't go if you guys are not going to be there. We kinda like that "Loose Nut Behind the Wheel!" and all you guys.

Do you guys, or anyone else sell the center nut hub for the C6Z, also what wheels are you using?

Great thread!

Great thread!
The car uses a BBS center lock wheel. This particular car has a fabricated upright and spindle assembly that can not be retro fitted to any OE application.

You can do this, and we have in the past. Pratt is doing it on the C6RS as well. The only down side is the special socket needed to remove the wheel as well as the amount of torque needed to install and remove the nut.

A lot of prep going into this week's photos.

To give you an idea the floor of these cars has to be completely flat, we are given roughly a 5mm tolerance from this. You can see this in the pictures below as we string the car front to back and pick points along the floor before mounting.

To cut down on heat we are going a few more steps and covering the firewall with Ti, and it will be covered in gold just like the tunnel of the car was as well.

Firewall heat Protection in progress

Fuel cells being installed

Fuel plumbing started

Preparing for floor install

Checking for flatness

Side Pipe heat protection

Made for the car, this car has a completely fabricated sheet metal upright, nothing at that point is shared with the OE car.

Thanks, Anthony.
The next time you guys race with the factory guys, whisper in their ear for the C7 to have a rear transaxle with the clutch and flywheel just in front of the 3rd member. Kind of like the Porsche 928. Keep the pictures coming. I think a lot of guys are getting a reality check as to all that goes into a competitive, professional race program. We appreciate all that you are doing for the "community". Oh, and if by some miracle they decide to go mid-engine, moving the motor back there would also be acceptable.

A complete engine, fully dressed and ready to plug in costs $70,000

We work with CRD engines in NC and have been sharing information with them since 1991.

I always said, it is not what you know it is WHO you know. that is why our 35 years of racing experience transfers very well to our street cars.

ANTHONY and LOUIS: great work.

Thanks
