I'm just trying to egg you into getting a bigger blower.
Don't the LSX blocks weigh about 100lbs more than the ally stock blocks? I'm not saying it's not worth it for the added strength (although the BBC guys get away with ally blocks so why can't the LS world?).

Yes they are about 100 lbs heavier than a ls3 but the lsa block difference should be closer to 80 lbs since it's a forged aluminum block. Also since the car will be seeing lots of boost and nitrous the reduced flex with the iron gives it better strength and reliability.

There has been a lot of talk about this on lS1 tech. Some say that the current gen of LSX are better than the ERL stuff as well. Did you look at the Dart block? Supposed to be very good and available in ally. I think lead time is a little long on the darts though.

So had a quick look at the KBs site (it's awful) and I think the biggest blower that they have for the LS engines is their 4.2 ltr unit. It's front drive rear fed though and with the intake on the rear I think it would require firewall / windshield mods to fit.
Whipple have the 2.9 kit and I think they where looking at doing their 4.0 supercharger as an upgrade. However I can't find any info on this anywhere. COPO were also supposed to be using a 4.0 with a driveshaft but I can only find pictures of the engine and nothing in a car.
Would be great is one of the above offers a front drive front fed unit or even a driveshaft option.

Hmmmm how about a second side mounted TVS2300? That would give you a total of 4.6ltr of air per rev. that should be enough t push even whatcops LSX block!
Now before you all jump in saying its a stupid idea, you can get front drive front fed TVS2300 blowers. You could then mod the stock lid with an air inlet (from the supercharger). Also Dragon used to produce a 3.3ltr Whipple with a side mounted blower for the Z06!
