C6 Z06 Standing Mile Results...Post 'em!
Who has run their car in a standing mile? If so, what was your speed and mods?
(Looking for stock times mostly, but also interested in modded times)

I think the stock Z06 will run about 170-175mph. There was a LG twin A.P.S turbo that ran 210mph.

Here is a stock one with just a intake or air filter running 178mph.

When I ran last spring, those C5 Z06s which claimed to be "stock HP" all ran about 163mph in the standing (Texas) mile. The C6 Z06s which claimed stock HP all ran around 177mph. These numbers were on both Friday and Saturday with some headwind. We left on Sunday, but according to those who stayed, the wind had shifted to a tailwind and therefore most cars were a little (3-5mph) faster on Sunday.
Fastest run last spring was a Hayabusa at 265. This October, the fastest run was a Lambo Gallardo at 278, but it flipped on chute deployment and was destroyed.......but the driver walked away!

Incorrect. The fastest this fall was a Hayabusa that went 278. The fastest car was a Gallardo that went 243 mph. Here are the results from this October 2010.

I've been to the Texas Mile 4 times.
This is an average of what I've seen (no inflated numbers due to a tailwind):
Stock C6 156-158
Stock C6 ZO6 165-170
Stock C6 ZR1 182-184
I've seen these averages many times under normal conditions.....
For comparison my car ran a best of: 175 (490 rwhp)- 184 (550 rwhp).......
I've seen cars pick up 5-9 mph just because of a tailwind (and the owner usually doesn't disclose this info). Wind makes a HUGE difference (I was down 7 mph one year due to a headwind).

A year ago October. Texas Mile. Favorable conditions. Katech Stage 1 Z-06. 177.7 mph.
Just a few weeks ago - this year's Oct. Texas Mile. Less than great conditions (real windy). Bone stock ZR1. 180.3 mph.
Most stock Zs run low 170s. Most ZRs are low 180s. Conditions (wind in particular) have a real impact.
To those who haven't run a standing mile, you should. It's a lot of fun.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little...I asked this question a while back, and no one seemed to know of a current event. I'm asking again, are there any standing mile events in the Midwest?

With 11 psi, we went 214 mph the first time out. We are looking forward to the next event when we turn up the boost

Ohio Mile
"Ohio Mile"
The former jet-landing runways for the former Airborne/DHL hub in Wilmington, Ohio (East of Cincinnati)
"The track is 9000 feet long by 150 wide offering two 33 foot wide lanes. The finish line is one mile from the start. You are timed in a 132 foot trap that ends at the finish line."
