can some of you guys post some sound clips/vids of your cars WOT and idling. I want to cam my car and net decent power but I dont want a very choppy idle I.E. sound as stock as possible. I had a TR 224/224 .581 / .591 in my QS 02 Z and was very pleased with the power it made with help from my kooks 1 7/8, FAST 90 and NW

thanks gents

Here is an idle clip and a drag race video of our car. Mods are listed in previous posts in this thread.

This was a cold start so it takes a min or 2 before it gets settled.

This is one of my better runs. Same setup as in the idle clip.

Car sounds good Rich....I'll be at the track this weekend, I will try and get some idle and 1/4 mile video of the car for better sound quality comparisons.

richie, the vette sounds good and she runs strong too! are u running cats? As of now I am running kooks 1 7/8 headers, offroad xpipe, airaid cai, and lg man switch with stock catback. my car made 493/475 tuned and I would love to get my TB and IM ported along with a mild cam. Id love to see 550rwhp and about 510 tq without going with a super large cam

I just bought an 08 Z06 from a forum member. Haven't actually seen it first hand yet. The previous owner had Carlos do some mild engine work to the car; ported intake, QM550 cam and tune for 93 octane. It made 505 rwhp. The previous owner was kind enough to trailer the car back to Carlos and Patrick for me. I'm having them install a set of AR 1 7/8" LT Headers w/ cats and re-tune the car for my local, and crappy 90 octane "premium" fuel. Not sure if they plan to strap it to the dyno or not. But if they do, I'll post the results. I'm less interested in peak hp numbers than I am in having a "happy" engine with a reasonably flat torque curve and low rpm (<3000) street manners.

interested to see what she makes with the addition to the headers, they will probably fatten up the fuel and pull a little timing to compensate for the low octane level but nonetheless I would bet you net over 520rwhp , keep us updated!

I just got the results. The car made 521/460. They used 89 octane fuel for the dyno tune. I don't have the graph as it's in the car and I probably will not see the car for another three weeks as it make's its journey to me across the county and Pacific.

Get the lethal and a fast and it will push 550whp. Period... shave the heads and get 20 more... i have posted all available gains with the lethal already on another post... we are right now 584whp w/o ported heads... and a lethal... with q16, 604whp.

After the idle settles down, what is the idle RPM? Is there any surge crusing at 1600-1700 RPM in 6th?

I have a 2008 Z06. I added a Halltech intake, Kooks headers and x-pipe, and a comp cam. Virginia Speed did the install and tune and it dynoed at 570 RWHP. I lopes like crazy and the gas mileage took a dive but it sure is fast.

I feel like my cam (Texas Speed LS7S), exhaust, cai & tune car @ 535 WHP is slow now. Can I use it was a humid day as a valid excuse?
