Drag radials for ZR1?
I went to the strip last night and could not hook up at all. When I tried launch control I had severe wheel hop so I had to let off the gas to keep from destroying the rear end. When I launched without launch control I still had some wheel hop.
I would like to get some drag radials. Does anyone make a good one for 19 x 12 or 20 x 12? How about 19 x 10? (thinking about using ZR1 front rims).
Thanks.

I have used the nitto 19" on Z06 rear rims. They worked ok, but If you really want the best combo for the car get a set of 18" CCW's and you can really make some good launces. I was able to run a couple 1.59 60's. My suggestion is Mickey Thompsons on CCW 18" wheels for your best times.
The nitto's on the 19's are taller than the stock tires and you can feel that the car does not pull as hard from the 1/8 to the 1/4

Only a couple 18" wheels fit, A few from CCW and a couple from Forgeline are the only ones that I know of. No stock corvette 18" will fit.
The CCWs that I have actually get larger inside the barrel of the wheel to clear the brakes.

corsair C2K, my stock ZR1 wheels are factory silver and from a distance they look very close to my stock wheels. He can do all types of finishes. I have 18x12 with M/T ET SR2's in a 315. I have a 3 hour drive to the track and they are holding up well on the street and work amazing at the track.I am told the hoosier 315 is a little stickey eer....but I wouldnt run them much on the street at all.

If you let the ZR1 hop for a couple seconds you will see that our axels are balanced and the hop goes away pretty quick.....and unlike the Z06 the rear doesn't grenade either with the hop.
And don't forget you are running aftermarket wheels with nitto invos too. IMHO its an inferior tire to the factory tires.

Depends on how good your track prep is where you race.....I run at MIR where its perfect so I went with a 18x12 with 315 MT's so that I could get a shorter tire for better gearing purposes. I can tell you with good prep the 315 will be all the tire you need. I bog at 4500 RPM launches with them.

I can't imagine that you would lose more than a 1/2 MPH of trap at the most.....I was going for the lightest shortest setup I could and still produce the 60's that I need to run the numbers I want to run......I still believe I have a 10.4x once fall gets here.
