Are you sure you need the radiator? I thought that the LS9's do not generate that much heat and that the GM factory had all of the cooling issues covered from R&D.
This radiator replacement is for us track dogs that get our LS9s a little warm when we're hot lapping.

My one brush with "warm" temps at the track was back in September last year, on a 95* day with 3 bzillion percent humidity, or thereabouts. I had the AC on and I was pushing the car hard. My water temps kissed about 250* or so. Had I turned the AC off, I'd have probably lost a good 15* or so from the water temp.

The more power the car makes, the hotter it is going to get. With the advancements made this year to the car, and adding over 200 hp over stock we had to do something to keep it cool.
Especially on a FI car...temp is hp.

Just because it can be run @ 240+ water temp, doesn't mean that it should. while the LS9 is durable, its far from efficient at those temps, as oil temps are +30-40 on top of that, which is no good for longevity of the combo.
When water temps get that hot, IAT1 temps are nearing 200. Yes, Iat1. Pre blower. IAT2 climb to 260+. The blower opens the bypass valve at 280, and kills boost, which we have seen stock, in texas heat. Thats obviously a safety net, but at that point, the car is making ~ 400 rwhp when it opens that bypass.
The whole reason behind the turbo inlet that we ran on the Hillclimb car was to keep IATs in check. We knocked 50* off of IAT 1 and IAT2, as the intercooler in the blower was saturated at that point. We have data logs that show 205 IAT1 310 IAT2. The LPE cover helped 10*, but it cost HP on the dyno. It brought IATs down, but power down as well.
Heat is a total killer for these cars on track.
The number of people actually doing this with their ZR1, I presume is less than 20.
We melt brake lines, pistons, and seals out of stock LS7s on stock tires at the track. Thats only been reported by another Z06 once in the 5 years that car has been around. Yes, we are hard on parts, so you dont have to.

I currently have LT headers, x-pipe and B&B race exhaust. I am getting ready to install front snout 2.3 pulley and air box.
The car still needs to be tuned BUT it sounds as if i will be doing the cooler upgrade as well.
Thanks to you all for the information it is appreciated.

For the driving you admit to doing, your stock unit is far more than you need. Really. It is. Save some pennies and apply them elsewhere.

I don't mean to get in the way of my friends at LGM making some money on a sale, but: you're not going to benefit from it at all. Really. You're not. You can mod your car till the cows come home, but that extra ~$1000 you spend on the radiator is going to be wasted.

For those of you that do need one,
I have production units here and have been shipping to customers this week for those that have them on order.
I have a handful of them left, give me a ring here if you would like some from this first run.
