ECS' Project ZR1 Gets A few more Upgrades :) 820+ hp/870 + tq RW!!!
Many of you are probably familiar with the ECS Zr1 that was on the cover of Vette magazine back in May of 09.

At the Time we added a IW overdrive balancer, a set of American Racing Headers, a 2.6 upper pulley, hand ported the SC Inlet, added Tuning and cracked off 722rw on our DynaPack Dyno with 100 octane unleaded.
This time, we installed a ported LPE ZR1 blower inlet, a 2.3 Pulley, LPE's Zr1 Air Box and an ECS LS9 Blower Camshaft. Still running 100 octane unleaded, this package yielded 823RWHP, and 874RWTQ - with a nice little lope to boot.
This package was yielding 780+ at the wheels with back to back pulls during tuning, and after letting it cool cracked off the 823.... Hopefully this package proves to be enough for the owner, or we'll have more udates coming shortly!!!

823/874 with no head work looks to be pretty impressive. Not sure how you sqeeked that much power out of it, but good job. Have you done a pump gas tune and how much boost are you running?

Yes, the 2.3 pulley will turn the supercharger faster, providing more boost than the 2.6 blower pulley.

What kind of boost is this on? Are we talking 20+ psi?
Didn't realize that the zr1's blower was capable of so much power even over-spun were talking what like 1400cfm?

We havent run this set up on 93 pump - and I doubt we will. You would certianly need meth to compensate though.
We logged a peak of 17.7psi on these pulls...

Is the meth needed due to lack of fueling? or to cool the charge? I will be running a similar setup but I only have 91 out here in CA. I plan on upgrading the heat exchanger to help. Any specs on the cam? How does it drive? Is there a lot of surging or is it pretty smooth?

Either Meth injection or 100 octane is needed for the octane requirements of that kind of power. The owner of this car has 100 octane available locally, and is not concerned with the added expense. If you were to duplicate this package on 91 octane, it would not last very long to say the least. Cam specs are proprietary, sorry!
