If the company has a long list of what it covers it gets difficult to determine if a failure is actually covered. That is what is nice about GMPP. They give you the list of things that are not covered. If it isn't on that list it is covered and their list just happens to be very short.

I bought my 07 last month and got the Mastertech Ultra which is supposed to cover absolutely everything.... I'm guessing that is better than a GMPP?
I don't know if my car would even qualify for the GMPP

Which warranty company was it, and what did they say about the Z06's "engine issues"?
Thanks

I checked with Dennis about a year ago on my 09 Z which was out of bumper to bumper but still has power train.
I was honest with him and told him I did 2 or 3 HPDE's a year, and he said no company would cover the power train if was ever tracked.
If you track you better not tell them.

$2,200 should get you close to having the heads pulled, rebuilt, and reinstalled.
I debated this and decided to fix the problem rather then risk losing the money to an insurance company who won't pay out and then having a blown motor. I didn't feel I would feel any stress relief with a warranty. I felt I'd have the stress of worrying about a valve drop AND a fight to get it fixed.
Scenario 2 is, nothing happens for 3 years( or the term of the warranty) and now your in the same place. Your worried about a valve drop, having more mileage on the car now, and are short $2200.
Use the money on a fix now. Get ahead of the problem.
And don't drive her until you do.
