Stock exhaust will tone it down a lot.
On my previous C5 I did that mod in phases with the corsa first and a year later went with H/C and headers......... went back to stock Z06 mufflers and sold Corsa, got some money back and reduced the sound quite a bit.

I still have my stock mufflers (not even the muffler mod) with a mild-2-wild remote. I have American Racing headers with their catted X-pipe. The headers themselves have the typical header ping associated with them, but with the exhaust butterflies closed, the car is nice and tame with no drone.

I can't imagine wanting it louder. Stock is perfectly fine for me. And when I'm feeling frisky, I just open the butterflies with the remote and tear up the pavement. Sounds pretty good.

I recently added 1 7/8" Kooks headers with no cats. The cam is stock and I have a Super Bee MF103 installed. Definitely not too loud for me and if I want it quiet I close the exhaust. In the middle of the video (from 46 seconds to 69 seconds) the exhaust is closed.

Sure, it likely won't be until this weekend though.

I agree. I would try to get a set of ZR1 Mufflers.

you might check with LEAVINU, he had a post for a set of ZR1 OEM mufflers for sale
