Default Any problems with 345 rears and 275 fronts?

Hello all! I am looking at a used wheel/tire combo with the following sizes:

Fronts: 275/35/18's (wheels: 18X9.5)
Rears: 345/30/19's (wheels: 19X12)

I am pretty new to tires and was wondering if this will cause any problems on my 2006 Z06.

Also, if the tires are not runflat, do they need to have the TPMS sensors? Thank you all for the advise!

Chad

Many people running that combo without issue. You may get a TC/AH warning light flashing now and then, but it shouldn't pull power from the car.

345s are great!

No TPMS sensors will throw you codes but that's about it.

Don't go without the TPMS sensors. It will cause your AH to wig out. If you're just street driving you may be ok, but if you go on a racetrack it will blow your handling.

I run 335s in the rear but your tire choice is limited at that size.

Thank u all for the replies. These have the tpms installed already. Is it a big deal to synch them to my car?

I had issue car said engine brake control is whacked out... You really should run a 295 front tire

I am running 275/345's with no problems. Do you have the sensor programming tool? I bought one from Tire Rack and it made it very easy to synch them to the car. I don't think you can do it without the tool.

I have 345/19/30's and 295/18/35's Michelin's on stock rims and I have never had any problems. The revolutions per mile for a 345/30/19 tire are about 764, for a 295/35/18 about 797 and for a 275/35/18 815. As you can see the 345 is much closer to a 295.

Same here. I do have the stock sensors, I bought a tool from Tire Rack to re-learn them when I switch to/from my race tires.

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming! I saw this TPMS trigger device on tirerack.

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...toring+Systems

Is this what people are using? Anything else that is recommended? Thanks!

That is a huge discrepancy.

may cause high speed under-steer. ie car wont turn very well

Keeping the front and rear tires close to each other in width works for best handling.

for a 275 in front a 305 to 315 would be a good choice

for 345 in back a 315 in the front.

a 335 in the back and 305 to 315 in front

Big meats look great in back, but handling can be compromised.

Good Luck

I've been running 275/18 fronts and 345/19 rears for years now with no problems. The occasional "Drag Control" message is all but that's not a problem, just a notification.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I have read several threads that say the stock GY 325's are about the same width etc as the Nitto 345's. Would that make a difference? I am very new to tire concepts so I am just trying to understand this all before buying. Thank you!
