I was on it in my avatar car many years ago with a group of other Chevys during the lunch break at the vintage races when Chevy was the featured marque. Our laps were at limited speeds but even so I got the giggles through the corkscrew. I'm pretty sure at full speed the giggles disappear. If you ever get a chance to run on it, do it!

Nice video. Real clear, is that the new Gopro HD camera? That was also some nice laps you did.

So, how did you attach the Go-Pro? I couldn't see a way to use the hinged pieces and suction cup to make it work on the steep angle of the glass.
Thanks!

I just took one of the supplied bases that have mounting adhesive and oriented it right behind the RV mirror. It is permanently there. Takes 10 seconds to moung the camera to it. No suction cup. You cant' even see the mounting bracket from the drivers postition. I have pics of it somewhere that I posted when I got the camera.

Yeah the sound restrictions suck. That's why I just leave all my cars stock.

Thanks DH- I thought that might be the case. Since I was using a borrowed cam I chose not to go that route.

It's a straight cut dog box sequential using a "stick" where you push forward to down shift and pull back to up shift. You literally had to punch the squential with your hand to shift smoothly. Porsche offer autoblipper which I have installed and works great as shown below

Porsche auto blipper and my DIY post http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...o-blipper.html

Sequential shifter

Cup sequential in action ... alot of action

^^^ OP: Enjoyed the vid!

Did you get a chance to talk to the P914/6 owner? What's he got in that thing?

Interesting. I've run 'Seca 4-5 times in my stock 2007 Z and never had a problem. I've even had the butterfly's open the entire time, with no issues.

The 914 in my video was driven by a Grand Am pro driver for testing. I did not talk to him but very unsafe driving in a DE event - passing people on the right coming down crockscrew without point by is flat out dangerous and could easily cause a wreck.

You are very lucky. I got black flag with flaps closed later in the day as I start to pick up speed through T5. It has to do with your engine rev, position on the track at T5 and tire noise if you run over the berm.

All things we shouldn't have to worry about on a race track

My first day, no black flag. The very next day, 2 black flags

Agree. Evan Thunderhill has sound limit at 102 db now days. I think they are trying to protect the cows from hearing loss

You must be faster up T5 the second day. This quick fix should solve the problem

Buddy of mine in his blue Porsche spyder send me video of my Z on the track. I made a split screen movie shown below. This Z06 look super stable under hard acceleration and at fast braking zone on T2

DH, were the black flags with the exhaust flaps closed or with them open? What tires?

Did you have the exhaust flaps open (normal) or closed?

I was in Comp Mode. So however the computer controls them. I did not have any manual forced opening or closing of the flaps.

You were in stock mode so the flaps are open north 3500 RPM. Like you said, once you pick up speed through T5 you will get nail for sound

I would think that using the solenoid bypass per the OP should solve the noise level problem and seems like a real easy "at the track" technique, just having the right wire to do the bypass.
