subscribed, thanks for doing this. With GM saying there are only 6.5 out of 1000 out of spec in that time frame, who wants take bets the guides are out of spec?

really....why not?...i was able to do it on mine...definetly could get the valve to move to its limits ... i know its not as acurate as measureing when disassembled but it would give a good idea of the wear...

The valve is seated with ~100 lbs seat pressure.

so how about doing me a favor then....just for grins....before you disassemble check the movement at the top of the stem of one exhaust valve...wont take but a couple of minutes....then with the spring off....and ffinally what you get with bore gauge measurement...
i would really appreciate it and we wont say its anything but a what the heck check
