With as much crime as they have in NYC, it would seem to me that their law enforcement manpower would be better utilized going after some of all those real criminals inhabiting that area, instead of harassing people driving Corvettes without front license plates.
I wonder how many actual serious or even violent criminal acts occurred without say a 5 mile radius of where they pulled those cars over, and at the exact same time.
Last Sunday my Corvette Club had a Caravan to Wine Country on the East End of Long Island NY. We formed up and hit the Expressway and within a mile a Police Cruiser pulled ahead of the line of cars and one fell in behind we were naïve enough to think we were getting an escort. What happened was The Sgt. demanded licenses and registrations and insurance cards and preceded to write up 6 out of 19 cars for "no front plate" . When approached by some retired LEO's in the group they were told "get back in your car or your going to jail" . I guess some "low life foreskin" has it in for us. I also have the feeling that the LEOS involved didn't want to do this but were forced by the powers that be. I can only hope that the person that did this uses his next paycheck to buy medicine for his family. Rant Over

But then being attentive to one generates revenue, and being attentive to the other, perhaps not so much.
I guess "if it don't make dollars, it don't make sense".

Hey Bill, come on out west if you want to see hundred's and hundreds of miles and miles.
How do you tell when you are out west?
Your nav system tells you the next turn is 523 miles away, and you'll still be on the same route after the turn!
