Thinking of converting my 06 c6 Z06 to E85

What all would I need to do the conversoon???...(parts and so on)
If someone has a write up or have done it please talk to me

Is it worth the conversion from premium gas to E85?

Thanks, any info or help would gladly be appreciated

im not so sure about that….. i don't think its that easy. what about the rest of the stuff needed? Someone chime in here. I know you need a flex fuel sensor if you want to run 93 and you can't get E85. A new pump helps to because E85 will eat the seals over time. I looked at E85 and my guess on the price was like 1500 bucks to convert

Flex fuel sensor (If you want to be able to run 91/93 on the fly), E-85 compatible fuel pump and bigger injectors.

I'm in the middle of my upgrade now. Going thru Carlos (vette-air) to send my heads to WCCH for angle milling to 13:1 . The angle milling helps keep the intake ports lined up and valve geometry straight as I understand.

Probably won't end up with the flex sensor because anything less than e85 won't work in my high compression motor anyway. You will need new injectors, DSTec recommends Injector Dynamics but others say they are unnecessarily expensive.

I've got a Fast/NW and K501 cam, so the stock pump would likely fail after some time. The Walbro 450 is a popular upgrade thats e85 compatable.

Many have said you don't need to run a new fuel line, others have had trouble with fuel pressure. I'm going to try without, lots of people run just fine.

My advice: Talk to Jason Harding or Jim Hall.

And the compression to take advantage of the gains E85 can offer.

Stock pump doesn’t last very long on e85. I went with the walbro 267 and modified my bucket. You’ll also need submersible 3/8 e85 fuel hose aswell. Most run gates 27097 x2, but after some research I found a few Supra that guys had issues with the line bursting in e85. So I went with some radium ptfe lines. Made specifically for e85, no issues so far.

If you're not adding compression, the gains wont be worth the dollars IMO
