Cool! Good luck, she will make some power!

All of the folks I am helping with these ported MSD's I'm recommending either to have me port their 90mm TB or step up to the 102 if they have the budget and a good capable tuner. Clearly the 102 will make a few more ponies but a ported 90 is a good option for a package that's not a max effort fully optimized build.

I mentioned awhile back in this thread one of my customers was wanting something different with his Mamofied MSD top and we decided to shoot it in a matte finish aluminum after I shaved the logos and properly texture coated the entire intake (same process I do when I paint them satin black essentially).

Thought I would post up some pics just for grins and for others that might have an interest. I think it came out pretty good....certainly doesn't look like an "MSD Atomic AirForce" any more....LOL

Let me know what you guys think....

Cheers,
Tony

Wow dude, I really like how that looks!!

I'm in the process of re-doing my Katech 427 Stroker due to a crack in my block/sleeve area, replacing with LSX block, it's at the machine shop now
Hope to have it back in 3 weeks.
I'm hoping to get your (Mamo) Ls7 TFS head package with the MSD manifold.
I hope the figures make it worthwhile.

No the engine started getting blow by, did a leak down and found # 5 to be way off.
Pulled the engine and tore it down.
Found #5 sleeve was no longer round, took it to a friends shop and I was just going to hone it and re ring it, he insisted there was an underlying problem, he wanted to remove the sleeve.once we removed the sleeve we found the problem, when the block was bored for the larger sleeves they made the block real thin in that area and it cracked shock cooling the sleeve which warped it.
So new block time, it only had 11k miles.
We are waiting on rings from Katech, we have all the other parts to start the short block build.

Smart friend...glad you caught it before wasting all that time putting it back together.

So i received my MAMO-MSD installed along with the modified fuel covers. All I can say is WOW, what a work of art.. Unfortunately is started storming here, so i didn't have a chance to take some pictures. I did however attempt to run the car (tuned for K&N CAI) with the Halltech MF108 installed, that did not work out all too well. Looks like I'll be scheduling for either this next weekend or the following to have the car dyno'd, 1st with just swapping the intakes (what everyone has been waiting for) and then a fresh tune and dyno with the addition of the NW102 and MF108..

In the mean time, enjoy a project in the works!!

Haven't seen very many pictures of Tony's ported and cleaned up manifolds in customer cars yet so here are a couple of mine for those considering this approach under the hood. I think the look is very clean and to anyone not familiar with the LS7 the set up looks like a stock factory job. I had to tweak one of the passenger side PCV lines to get the cover to fit but it was a pretty simple job. I've noticed there is a lot of inconsistency with how the hard lines are shaped and it could be hit or miss.

In case anyone asks I had a number of additional mods done at the same time so I don't have a clear answer as to how much I picked up with just the intake. The work was all done at AHP.

List of mods include:
AHP Stage 4 heads milled 0.02 + Port and polish
AHP ported TB
Tony Mamo ported MSD intake
Custom grind EPS cam 224/ 244 .630/.630 116
Pfadt 1 7/8 headers
Attached Images

Yes, the duct is in fact larger than stock. I had it enlarged, custom painted and a custom bracket fabricated to reinforce the upper section above the intake. Ill take more pictures when I install the Haltech intake as the filter mates up the duct much cleaner.

Have you retuned after the Mamo Ported MSD install?

Mind mentioning who did your sleeves? Or PM if you prefer.
