Default Power steering cooler - routing lines

Does anyone have a picture of the power steering cooler attached to the car with the lines running up to the pump? Putting my car back together after putting the cam in.

What do you need? Cell phone pic? Description? PM me if you want my cell number to walk through it.

Try this I uploaded a parts page on the PS system.

If you want the full size page PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

I circled the 2 lines I'm looking to see where they go. I know the one clamps onto the steering rack just want to see the exact spot and where the lines lead off to. The other ones goes over by the ABS bracket, does it got in front of or behind of the bracket, oil lines, and electrical. A cell phone pic would be perfect of those 2 areas if possible. I tried searching for a pic of that general area and cant find anything.

Thanks for helping guys

That pic def helps.

Where is hose #10 that I circled from that diagram, what spot does that attach on the rack? on top?

Hose #10 is behind the cooler (can't see it in the pic above). One end screws into the back of the pump (the smaller nut size end 5/8" or 16mm) the other end screws into the rack (18mm). In the pic above it screws into the opening closest to the PS pulley.

As to how they reach those areas it's pretty straight forward the lines will only reach those spots one way. If you try to reach the attachment areas any other way they won't reach or you will really be stressing the line to make them reach.

It's like a puzzle, you'll figure it out fairly quickly once you start working with it.

The hose from #15 goes to the other port on the steering rack (beside where the connection from hose 10 goes) and the other end attaches to the bottom of the ps reservoir (that will be pretty obvious when you look at it).

That water pump looks different than on my car. The top rad hose connection on my WP is to the right of the TB opening (standing in front of the engine looking at it).

I think GM changed the water pump outlet location to the drivers side in 2010. This should help in routing the hose.

how far did you take your car apart to do the cam?

Only two power steering lines I unhooked were the two on the steering gear so I could slide the rack out the passenger side. I also un-bolted the cooler from the cradle so I could access the rack bolts.

Unhooked the same 2 line as you but instead of leaving everything hanging in there I took it off to get it out of the way

Anybody know why part #11 is shaped the way it is? Its a hard line that comes out the bottom of the ps reservoir tank, curls up an over the top of the tank and then back down. Something reused from a different vehicle? Looks useless. I removed mine a long time ago. Out the bottom of the tank and down to cooler. No problems after 3-4 years.

I think in 08up, the pressure line off the pump got routed down to the rack near the cooler and then to upper rack hose fitting.

The 05/6/7 have the pressure line going from the pump straight down and under the rack steering shaft head, it is a complete pita unless you remove the line from the pump.
