I have a 13' 427 and after finding 5 ppm of Ti in my oil I became concerned with the rod issues that have been reported with this particular year.

My oil pressure at hot idle is 21 to 23 psi, but most people seem to report 26 to 30 at hot idle with M1 - 5W 30.

For those how have 13' LS7's what are you seeing at 200 - 210* oil temp?

And for those who did have rod bearing failure how low did your oil pressure get? Thanks for the help guys!

At 180* it would be in the low teens. This was main bearings though. Worn, not spun.

Which temp are you talking about???? Oil or Coolant. Oil pressure will be more sensitive to oil temp than coolant temp.

Oil temp. By 210* i'd assume it would have been closer to zero than i cared to find out. Although with the OEM oil cooler i never saw over maybe 185 anyway. Mine is a 2006. I can't imagine the outcome would be much different though.

Being it is a 13 car with the oil fluid exchanger mounted to the oil pan you are going to see 200-220 oil temps pretty normally.

That being said....I have seen cars come through here in the 25-35 psi range at those temps at idle. You have to have more than 7 psi at idle/no load to keep the crank off of the bearings in a LS.

Does it build pressure correctly?

I would keep an eye on the Ti levels. We have seen rods wear on these cars too and it can tear it up pretty quickly.

Yeah it builds pressure normally I sit right at 50 psi at cruise at 75 mph. Coldstart it's around 70psi

I have one of the '13's that had the engine replaced after 3500 miles. The oil temp wa 200-210 but the oil pressure dropped to 6-8 lbs at idle and never was over 27-30 lbs driving at 70 mph. after the engine was replaced no problems. But I do have the oil analysed at each oil change.
