Who has the red Katech oil pump on their car?
Can someone give me some feedback on their experience with this oil pump?
What is your oil pressure at Idle at 200° and what is the pressure while cruising at 1700 RPM?
How much pressure does it make over the stock pump?

Red Pump
I have one but I do have an ERL block so clearances are different so pressure will be different. At 200 degrees the oil the pressure is like 22-25 psi and like 55 or so at 5,000 rpm. I run 0-40 oil. Now I did have a regular pump in there before and their claim of 20% more oil pressure is spot on. I had 5 psi more at idle and 10 psi more at 5,000 rpm.

idle oil pressure
is the 22-25. I am not sure at 1,700 but I think like 35-40 or so?

With my stock LS7 at cruise I'm at 52 psi at 1700 RPM and 23 psi at 200° idle
It definitely sounds like you have looser clearances, thanks!

"What is your oil pressure at Idle at 200°?"
~60psi 5W-50 synthetic
"and what is the pressure while cruising at 1700 RPM?"
~70psi (guess with same 5W-50 synthetic)
How much pressure does it make over the stock pump?
I'm not sure exactly but I have no reason not to believe Katech's claims of 30% greater scavenge capacity/20% greater pressure capacity...
More blah blah blah...
During dyno break in of motor rebuild (535RWHP) at Mayhem:
oil pressure @ idle = 60-65psi (10W-40 conventional Valvoline per ERL, 150F)
oil pressure @ 5000rpm = ~100psi (10W-40 conventional 180F)
Just back from the track. Saw similar oil pressures on track. During second session as increased motor load oil temp reached 225F at which point I drained and switched to 5W-50 Mobil1 synthetic.
oil pressure @ idle = ~60psi (5W-50 synthetic, 150F)
oil pressure @ 6700RPM = ~110psi (5W-50 synthetic, 230F)
Since this is after a complete rebuild, I can't be positive about the difference but I can say I'm thrilled with the motor and oil pressure.
