Yes, z06 version just because if I have to resell it, didn't want to have to explain how I modded the base version, or if it didn't fit or have issues, didn't want hooker blaiming me for modding it.

Anyone know the weight of each of these systems? I have the old Borla S Type catback and the drone is getting to me. The catback itself is only 21lbs, so it's not that heavy. But I hate the drone and the bends before it exits. I'm sure a straighter thru design would help.

Damn that sucks. I'd be gaining weight by going to any of these setups. I was surprised by how little the borla weighed, but the drone is killing me. I'll see how yours sounds and decide then.

I searched for the past year for no drone and light weight. It doesn't exist besides maybe the Ti Akro, and even then I've heard they drone.
So I rather be quiet and enjoyable, than save 20lbs. I drive my car WAY too much to deal with loud.

I spoke to Borla and they claim their new S Type II has ZERO drone. It weighs 40lbs, so about 10 less than stock.

All the "zero drone" claims are on stock cars. Once you add headers, cam, etc that is all out the window.

Interested to see how the Hooker NPP system handles drone in the closed setting.

Just like the B&B dual mode drones on some cars. Just depends on headers/cat/cam/etc.
Lots of overlap seems to be more droney.
My car, even on bone stock mufflers I've been told is one of the loudest vettes around. People always comment how loud and good it sounds. Must be something about 1200rwhp worth of air through the mufflers sounds different than 600hp.

There is no drone in my car with the Borla Touring. It's pretty tame until you get your foot in it, but definitely louder than stock with flaps closed. I don't know why this axle back gets no love on this site. Probably because most want their car to as obnoxious as possible.

Thanks for this, we've been successful eliminating drone. I think the Touring system is underappreciated as well. To your point, we've certainly seen a trend towards very loud exhaust systems in the last few years. The thing is, they can only get so loud. Eventually the pendulum will swing back the other way. It always does with trends.

I also have your GM/Borla cat back on my 2015 Denali with the 6.2 ltr. Absolutely no drone, even when towing.
