there is a space between my roof and rear glass
I have a space between my targa roof and my rear glass its like 1/4 inch space, should there be a rubber gasket between them? I looked at other 2007 z06 on line I don't see a space, I was told by car fax my z06 was in an accident in 2007 air bags did not deploy salesman said the previous owner hit a parking lot light post backing up, trying to get the previous owners name and number if any one knows how I can do this?
I called the chevy dealers where the car was serviced but no luck tried dmv but they said they cant tell me privacy act , maybe I can do a car title search?

Yeah I just tucked mine into bed, there is a black rubber gasket between the roof and the b pillar halo, as well as a gasket/weather strip between the halo and glass.

I think my roof was replaced it has a black targa roof , that's why I'm wondering if it was in a bad accident or roof was just replaced plus halo was painted black. and the bottom of the rear near exhaust painted black ,and air vents and door handles painted atomic orange. just trying to find out previous owner to see how bad of an accident it was even though the air bags weren't deployed, and why there is a space between the halo and the rear glass may just be gasket is missing ,going to corvette vs mustang show tomorrow look at other vettes while I'm there. you can see the space in the picture.

I go back and forth I like the chrome then I switch to the black rims, I checked it out the frame looks straight and drives fine,
just put a comp 501 cam and had the heads re done they were pretty bad I also did the muffler mod , The 501 cam may have been a bit much for street driving but it runs great. I complained to GM but they did nothing I also filed with the site I found on this site about the valve guide issue .

I had a similar problem, the trim piece started falling down. It turns out, it has to flex against the window shocks when you open the trunk, and ultimately, that weather-stripping glue can just fail, because it's fighting the opening of the hatch the whole time.
I bought weather-strip glue and re-attached, but the glue was yellow, and I went over it with a black Sharpie. I need a good body shop to take off the hatch and apply the glue properly ( and hopefully invisibly ).
