Default Replaced PCM now car wont crank

I purchased a PCM from the salvage yard for my 2006 Z06. The PCM I purchased is a 12597121 which differs from the PCM in the car. I had my tuner unlock and transfer my tune with HP Tuners, but when I put it in the car will not crank. Am I missing a step?

Thank you

There's a security "relearn" procedure IIRC.

MTPZ06 is this something that can be done without a scanner? Do you have a link to the procedure? Thank you

Do you know if your tuner did a vin flash as well?

When drivers door is open does the security light on dash flash, off or stay solid on ?

If its not flashing then the PCM and the BCM need to relearn and sync up that security code

This is a security relarn proceedure...but this may not be your issue. You may wind up needing a scanner.

Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes.
Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes.
Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes or until DTC P1630 sets.
Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF and wait 30 seconds.

Attempt to start the engine. If the engine does not start, Refer to the Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls.

Important:

Performing this procedure may cause a DTC P1630 to set. If a DTC P1630 sets, turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds, then turn ON the ignition. If the DTC P1630 does not clear, Refer to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls.

Security light stays on when the ignition is turned on. My old PCM it would turn off. I will give the procedure a try. Thanks!

Don't forget to perform a case learn.

Why'd you change the ECM in the first place?

Thanks, it was just a hunch. Would've felt better about it if it actually fixed his main issue...electrical "gremlins". https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-misfire.html

Looks like he's on the right track though.

Crank relearn is done. I replaced the ecm after following the progressions of diagnosing the P0621 cel. Car was blowing the alt fuse and is getting a really bad voltage drop when racing.
